In 2012, Alefiya started Alif se Art as a quiet space to record her creative practice. Printmaking, miniature painting, sketching — each page was a note to herself, a way to document what she was exploring.

That curiosity didn’t stop at one medium. As Alefiya explored, her hands found Islamic illumination art. The precision of geometry. The rhythm of biomorphic patterns. The patience of ceramics and marquetry. What started as practice soon became passion.

The diary became a brand. Alif se Art was born from the idea that art is both personal and shared — something you create for yourself, then offer to the world.

She began with handmade illuminated bookmarks and envelopes, each piece carrying the care of handwork and the beauty of tradition. From there, Alif se Art grew into more: workshops that teach, artworks that speak, commissions that tell personal stories, and curatorial projects that celebrate craft.

Today, Alif se Art is still a diary. Just one with more pages, and more people discovering the meditative beauty of Islamic arts.
