Course Outline:
This course explores stylised floral design in Islamic art, with a focus on traditional Nabati forms. Through guided instruction, participants engage with principles of structure, proportion, and colour, developing studies informed by historical design practices.
Alefiya’s Role:
- Core Program Lead Tutor; responsible for mentoring, presentations, and demonstrations.
- Visiting faculty member, conducting a two-week module annually.
- External (outsourced) tutor affiliated with the King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts.
Outcomes & Impact:
Participants build confidence in observing and constructing floral forms while engaging with traditional design principles.
