Collaborators: Kings’ Foundation School Of Traditional Arts and Education City, Doha.
Duration: 2 weeks.
Dates: 2024 Onwards (Every Year).
Location: Al Khater House, Education City, Qatar Foundation.

Course Outline: 
This course explores stylised floral design in Islamic art, with a focus on traditional Nabati forms. Through guided instruction, participants engage with principles of structure, proportion, and colour, developing studies informed by historical design practices.

Alefiya’s Role: 

  • Core Program Lead Tutor; responsible for mentoring, presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Visiting faculty member, conducting a two-week module annually.
  • External (outsourced) tutor affiliated with the King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts.

Outcomes & Impact:
Participants build confidence in observing and constructing floral forms while engaging with traditional design principles.
