Description
‘The Qalma’ (muslims oath to oneness of God) “La ilaha illallah” literally means “there’s no God but God”. It is inspired by the 9th century Quran, written in gold on blue vellum. It was in North Africa and is famously known as ‘The Blue Quran’. The script used is Kufic. This sumptuous Quran was most probably commissioned by The Fatimid Caliphs. This Quran shares many characteristics from the ‘Bible of Cava’. Interestingly Because of this it is also assumed that the manuscripts were created by Christians.
