Description
The painting of stylised Date palm which is frequently mentioned in The Quran. the fruit of heavens. The date palm is placed in eight pointed stars symbolizing absolute perfection and divine balance.
The paintings are made using traditional techniques of illumination with handmade pigments, ie. Trunks and leaves are painted with pure 24ct Shell gold, water is painted with 22ct Moon shell gold. Blue is handmade Lapis lazuli paint while pigments for fruits are derived from cochineal.
