The ‘Breath of the Compassionate’, or ‘al-nafas al-rahman’, is an eight-point star. Number eight has deep meaning in Islam. Eight symbolizes “eternity and absolute perfection”. The word ‘Compassionate’ in the phrase the ‘Breath of the Compassionate’ is derived from the ninety-nine names of God. Compassionate resembles infinity therefore; Islamic designs tend to be repetitive.

In this manuscript of Asma ul husna, each name of Allah is composed in eight pointed star and is written in 24k pure shell gold, placed in lapis blue colored eight pointed star and the corners have tree of life. All of these are symbols of divinity.
